This policy explains what FineAlert NYC, operated by NOLKENS & CO. LLC, collects, why, and the choices you have. It is part of our Terms of Service.
To run your account, check your buildings, send alerts, reminders and billing emails, answer support requests, prevent abuse, and improve the Service. We don't sell your personal information or share it for others' marketing.
FineAlert NYC and LotProbe (lotprobe.com) are both operated by NOLKENS & CO. LLC and share one account system. An account created on either site works on both, and the same email, name, phone number and password are stored once for both. Each site's own activity (watched buildings here, reports on LotProbe) is used only to provide that site's service.
We use one sign-in cookie. Our pages also load Google's advertising tag (Google Ads), which sets Google cookies to measure which ads lead to sign-ups and subscriptions, and may be used to show our ads to people who previously visited our site (remarketing). Google may collect information about your visits to our site and other sites to do this. You can opt out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com or limit cookies in your browser. Our site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common industry standard for them; you can still use the opt-outs above.
We share data only with providers that help run the Service: hosting (Render), email delivery (Resend), payments (Helcim) and Google Ads measurement. They may use it only to provide their services to us.
Building, owner-of-record and violation information on the site comes from public NYC records. It is not a consumer report and may not be used for credit, insurance, employment, housing or tenancy decisions (see Section 6 of the Terms).
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limit access to account data. We keep account data while your account is open and billing records as long as tax law requires. If you close your account we delete or anonymize the rest within 90 days.
You can update your details on your account page, stop alerts by removing watched buildings, and ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing support@finealertnyc.com. Because accounts are shared with LotProbe, deleting your account removes it from both sites.
The Service is for adults (18 and older) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by New York law.
We will post updates here with a new date and email account holders about material changes.
